Fashion Faves: 1st Entry – Ferragamo F/W 2014

I must admit, I’m really not a um…what do they call it? Label whore? I’m really not. I tend to like “collections” more so than the actual designer. However, I cannot tell a lie, I have really been loving what Ferragamo has been sending down the runway these last couple of seasons and this season is no exception. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say this may very well be my favorite of all runaway collections for fall 2014. I love the colors, the patterns on the coats, the silhouettes and the fabric (I can’t tell you what kind of fabric that is, but I sure can tell you it looks good… and expensive!).

Now I always try and read the fashion reviews from fashion experts, mostly to see if I can decipher this fashion language code that they write in and figure out what the hell they’re saying! However, I do find it a tad interesting to see what inspired the designer for the collection and if that translates to anything that I can wear in the real world and not look like a complete hot mess! Apparently, Massimiliano Giornetti’s (the designer) inspiration for this collection came from underneath his feet in the form of rugs. Well… if this is what wearing outfits inspired by a rug looks like, I say yes please! That and Mr. Giornetti must have some fabulous rugs no? See if your rugs measure up and enjoy my favorite faves for Salvatore Ferragamo – Fall 2014 Menswear.
