I saw. I judged. I oohed. I awed. I collected my thoughts, wrote them down on a piece of paper, memorized it, ate it, and then swallowed it whole! Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, the best dressed men (and a women or two) at the 2015 SAG Awards! Ready?
Still reeling off the high of knocking the Golden Globes down the stairs (a la Showgirls style), I think it’s pretty safe to say that the Critic’s Choice Awards was more than a little startled when it was suddenly b*tch slapped across the face and on to the floor by the SAG Awards. That’s right… IN. YOUR. FACE. Well, I do declare! It seems that the often overpaid individuals with an underwhelming talent and attractiveness (otherwise known as Hollywood’s Elite), stepped it up a notch… or two and really tried (and I mean hard) to bring their fashion “A Game” to the masses…and some actually succeeded!
After an OK showing at the Golden Globes, things were looking mighty bleak for my 2014 Fashion Icon Mr. McConaughey and his equally fashionable better-half Camilla. Well…alright, alright, alright! Fast forward to the SAG Awards and both have rebounded rather nicely with their looks for the night. Mr. McConaughey was the epitome of suave in a delicious turquoise and navy silk dinner jacket, white shirt and black trousers all by Brioni (one of my faves) while his gorgeous wife Camila made skinny girls eat chocolate in a show stopping luscious purple Donna Karen Atelier gown that highlighted every inch of her sexy curves (you can never go wrong in my signature color!).

Mr. Brody, Mr. Ferguson, and Mr. Parsons all followed in Mr. McConaughey’s footsteps by opting to change it up from the basic black tuxedo look…and boy oh boy did it pay off. I think these gentlemen look devastatingly dapper with Mr. Brody in a handsome Dolce & Gabbana grey/silvery sheen tuxedo, Mr. Ferguson wearing a impeccably tailored custom suit by Rochester’s Hickey Freeman (with shoes by Louboutin), and finally, check mate to Mr. Parsons for looking debonair in a sleek checkered Ermenegildo Zegna suit and some Louboutins of his own!

In the classic department, Mario Lopez, Jared Leto, Eddie Redmayne, Liev Schrieber, Joe Manganiello, Mahershala Ali and Ty Burrell proved that timelessness always prevails! Although Eddie Redmayne looked great , albeit in a somewhat familiar look, he almost didn’t make the cut for that very reason in his perfectly tailored Prada suit. However, I’m a sucker for a well-fitted double-breasted dinner jacket and pants, so I can overlook the sameness of it all…this time. Ty Burrell & Jared Leto in Dolce & Gabbana, Joe Manganiello in a navy Ermenegildo Zegna made-to-measure tuxedo, and Mario Lopez, Mahershala Ali and Liev Schrieber all looked classically handsome with a twist of old Hollywood glamour. A+ Gentlemen!

And now for the Ladies:
Julianne Moore looked radiant in a Givenchy Couture emerald green gown. Julia Roberts looked effortlessly chic in a flawless fitting custom-made corseted jumpsuit (also by Givenchy). Lupita Nyong’o continues her streak of style perfection in a modern and flowy Elie Saab gown while Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt looked absolutely glamorous in black gown by Honor. Finally, Viola Davis was an angelic vision in a custom white Max Mara gown. Crazy about her dress and even crazier over her fab speech!
