Bow ties, have you ever taken a moment and really (and I do mean thoroughly) had a look at what your male co-workers are wearing? Maybe a better question is, do you even notice… or, dare I say… care? If your mind is drawing a blank to these questions then I hate to break it to you, but your office might be MFC (Male Fashion Challenged). How dreadful! What?!? Yes, it’s a real problem. However, don’t feel too bad, the male fashion statements of it all isn’t much better from where I’m looking either. Yep, this appears to be a widespread issue. Thankfully, the Jameson Empire Awards happened not too long ago and with it came some great menswear style… specifically in men’s work wear.
Ah, the business suit. It’s become such a dull, mundane, boring and common staple of men’s work attire, hardly anybody even pays much attention to it anymore. I mean, the business suit has sort of pathetically faded away into a sea swimming of ill-fitted, coffee stained, pleated dress pants suit hell on Earth! A painful way to go this I know. But, that is not the case anymore! No. No. No. The Jameson Empire Awards blew into town and the gentlemen in attendance banded together, performed a séance and resurrected the business suit. Rejoice! However, this business suit that’s back from the dead and risen from the grave is not the suit of yore. Nope. This new suit has a different cut, fit, shape and some new twists that have turned it into a bona fide rock star! I practically want to get right up out of my seat and put a suit on…right now. But I won’t. Instead, let’s examine some of the fine garments of clothing up close and personal…
Before we delve into it, I would just like to ask…has anyone actually heard of this awards show before?!?! I know I haven’t. Where in the hell did this Empire shindig come from? Perplexing. Upon some further investigating, I discovered that the awards show is actually named after Empire Magazine, the biggest (their words) movie magazine in the world! Wow…right? Well, whatever this soiree is, the gentleman really showed up with their fashion A-game in hand and were both impeccably dressed to receive an award and equally ready to close on that pesky merger in a boardroom meeting. This is versatility bow ties.
So, as you peruse the pictures below… ask yourself, do your male co-workers look like this on a daily basis (even slightly)? And if you are a gentlemen yourself, do you look like these on a daily basis? If not, you are missing out…and so are your eyeballs! It’s the 2015 Jameson Empire Awards Best Dressed Men. Enjoy.
