I fully and readily admit that I’ve been out of the blogging game for far more than a minute now and during that time a whole hell of a lot has happened… especially in the world of gentlemen fashion. Award shows, movie premieres, and special events have all led to great (and not so great) style being splashed upon our eyeballs non-stop! See what happens when non-relevant annoyances like work and a nagging hip injury get in the way of a truly important life-sustaining issue like fashion? Yes, fashion really is the center of the universe…
or at least it should be. So without further ado, let’s discuss some fashion shall we?
Yes, I’m aware that the 2015 Billboard Music Awards occurred quite a few weeks ago (decades in social media world), but nevertheless, I’m still going to go ahead and add my 2… or 3 cents into the fashion mix! The awards show, held annually since 1989 with the only exception being the years between 2007 and 2010 in which there were NO shows (interesting, isn’t it?), bases its winners on end of the year chart performances according to Nielsen data, airplay, downloads… blah-blah-blah! We all know by now that winning some award is not what’s important. No it is not! What’s important is what you are wearing when you receive said award and how quickly you can get through your BS acceptance speech by causing as little damage to viewer’s ears and brains as possible. However, I will throw the Billboard Awards show a bone: Miss Janet (Jackson if you’re nasty) holds the record for receiving the most awards with 33 wins and since all of you bow ties know that she is my MFPITW (Most Favorite Person In The World… and she should be yours too!), that does count for something.
Additionally, Brit Brit and racially controversial rapper Iggy Azalea performed and I gotta say that Brit Brit actually looked (1) like she was present and (2) like she even enjoyed herself. Mind blowing I know. Swifty-Swift Tay Tay was there with her man of the moment,
the ex Mr. Rita Ora, Calvin Harris (who I am sure we’ll all get to know all so well on Tay Tay’s as yet released 6th studio album), J. Lo with her newly reacquired boy toy Mr. Casper Smart were in attendance and then there was Chris Brown… with a baby… his baby. On top of it all, there was fashion… good fashion even… from gentlemen I didn’t even suspect (hello 50 Cent). Yes my bow ties, the temps are rising and clothes on bodies are dropping! It can only mean one thing: It’s the 2015 Billboard Awards best dressed men. Enjoy!
First up, Mr. 50 Cent looking more like 50… million bucks that is! Nicely done for 2 quarters.
Mr. Nick Jonas has pretty much cemented his status as one of my Fashion Icons for 2015. However, that pose…
His Performance attire, equally suave!
While we may not like his past antics, one would have to agree that Mr. Chris Brown is INSANELY talented and while HIS outfit is just alright, his cute little fashionista baby girl is hitting all the right fashion notes… and making daddy’s overall ensemble look much, much better.
Mr. Ludacris is looking clean-cut and extra dapper. The award show host cleans up nicely in a timeless black suit.
Mr. John Legend never disappoints! And it’s oh so sweet of him to show support to his awards co-hosting wife… and by support I mean wearing that FAB suit!
Where ya been Mr. Jesse McCartney? The “beautiful soul” crooner opts for a simple and debonair summery checkered gray suit. Everything from the neck down is looking good, but from the neck up? Mr. McCartney is looking a little… tired no?
Looks like things between Mr. Casper Smart and J. Lo are back on… again? Whatever the case, Mr. Smart is looking very, very intelligent in a crisp navy suit and some nice kicks!
So this is who Swifty-swift Tay Tay has to keep her… uh…ahem… occupied. What do we think of Mr. Harris’s navy suit?
Casual and comfortable. Mr. Nick Young (aka Iggy Azalea’s baller boyfriend) opts for casual coolness with an orange bomber jacket, ripped black jeans and a simple white tee. See gentlemen, having great casual style is pretty simple!
Fall Out Boy may have fallen out of the music scene for a while, but they’re back… and it looks like they brought their fashion A-game with them! A+ gentlemen.
Magic! Is looking cohesive and chic… and at the same time! Every member looks “rocker dapper” individually and as a group.
Pentatonix is known for their smooth harmonious vocals, but does their fashion deserve the same praise? What do we think bow ties? And… wasn’t there a fab female member, correct? Where is she?!? Anyone?
Mr. Prince Royce is looking ultra-modern in a cool black and white combo ensemble.
Mr. Jussie Smollett of Empire fame takes a fashion risk that pays off with this nude-esq Calvin Klein (I believe) ensemble.
Last, but certainly not least we have Mr. Bryshere Y. Gray (also of Empire fame) taking a fashion risk as well. What do we think of his ensemble bow ties?

What do you think? Love my choices? Hate them? If you have a butthole then you have an opinion…and now would be a good time to share it! Comment below (but please be respectful).
