What’s more important than winning an Oscar? Looking immaculate while accepting it! Mr. McConaughey fully understands this concept and has implemented it flawlessly. And with good reason! This past award season proved to be very good indeed for the ‘Dallas Buyer’s Club’ actor. The days of playing the male lead in romcoms are over while here to stay are the gritty and meaty roles with interesting in-demand directors and smartly written scripts. Well, I must say, Mr. McConaughey is definitely reaping the rewards (or should I say awards) from making the risky but conscious decision to ditch his old “type-cast” persona in favor of more critically acclaimed roles that provide a platform for his mighty acting chops to take center stage. Receiving almost every accolade known to man this past year (The Academy Award, Critics’ Choice Award, Golden Globe Award, Independent Spirit Award, and a SAG Award just to name a few), Mr. McConaughey’s real achievement is in the fashion choices that he made to receive these prestigious honors! This award season, Mr. McConaughey was PERFECTION and he hasn’t slowed down yet! Take a look at the pictures below and it won’t take long for you to understand why Mr. McConaughey is my Fashion Icon. I can’t wait to see what he serves up in 2015!
Side note: Camila Alves is absolutely slaying the fashion game for women right now…work!
